We’re building the company we wish we had when we wanted to write a book.

Built & Written exists because the gap between “I should write a book” and “I have a printed book” is where most coaches die.

Why this exists.

Built & Written started with a personal moment: trying to write a book, watching the cost balloon to five-figure ghostwriter quotes, watching the timeline stretch to a full ghostwriter cycle, and watching the only formatting tool on the market produce a Word file that Amazon KDP rejected three times in a row.

The realization: every existing tool solved exactly half of the problem. AI writing tools generated text but ignored the print-readiness gap. Print tools (Atticus, Vellum) handled formatting beautifully but assumed you’d already finished the manuscript. Ghostwriting agencies did everything, for ten times what most coaches will spend.

The bet: combine voice-matched AI drafting with print-ready output, and put both behind a guided companion, not a vending machine. That companion became Wren.

Today, Built & Written serves coaches, founders, and exited operators who have the chapters in their head and no time to type them. Tomorrow, we want every expert with something worth shipping to have a printed book on their shelf.

Meet Wren

Meet Wren — our writing companion.

Wren is the character we built to embody the way this product feels. Not a robot. Not a template. A companion. He sits beside you while you put the book on the page.

What we believe.

  • Authors first.

The author owns the book, the royalties, the listing. We’re the tool.

  • Print-readiness as a feature.

Every chapter Wren writes assumes a printer will hold it. Margins, gutters, spine math are non-optional.

  • Voice over volume.

Wren refuses to insert filler. A thinner book in your voice beats a fat book in a generic one.

  • Fast, then reviewed.

Wren can produce a print-ready first pass in 5 minutes. The author still reviews, edits, and decides when the book is ready to publish.

  • Calm over urgency.

No countdown timers. No fake scarcity. The book is the proof.
