What is an AI ghostwriter?
Software that writes a book for you from your own material, the job a human ghostwriter does. Built&Written learns your voice from samples of your writing, plans the chapters with you and writes them in that voice. You approve the plan, edit the text and publish under your name.
Is it still my book?
Yes. You supply the stories and ideas, approve the plan and edit the text, and our terms say the books you create are yours. In the US, text an AI wrote isn't protected by copyright on its own, while your own writing, edits and arrangement can be, so make the draft yours before you publish. This is not legal advice.
Do I have to say AI wrote it?
Amazon KDP asks you to declare AI-generated text in a private form when you publish. Readers don't see it; your book page shows your name.
Will it sound like me?
Closer than a blank prompt. Voice DNA builds a profile from 300 words of your writing (100 if you start it yourself) and reads up to about 3,300 words. Our sample picked up the owner's short, blunt sentences from nine posts.
Can it interview me?
Not live. Answer the questions on this page into your phone's voice recorder, transcribe the recording and paste the text. Transcripts are some of the best material it gets.
Does it make things up?
It can. Our sample kept to the owner's facts but told the Danny story in several chapters, and it filled in checklist steps he never listed. Check every name, number and story, and give it more material where it guessed.
