AI Memoir Writer
An AI memoir writer turns the stories you tell about your life into a book: it plans the chapters around them and writes in your voice.
Short answer
- Who it's for
- Anyone writing their own life story, or a parent's, who can talk or type their memories but doesn't want to write the whole book alone.
- What you get
- A memoir drafted from your stories, a cover and print-ready files. You correct every name, date and scene before you publish.
- How long
- A draft takes minutes once your stories are in. Memoir was the most common book written here in the 30 days to October 24, 2026: 38 of 129.

Your memories, in your words

Tell it your stories
Type them, or tell them to your phone's voice recorder and paste the transcript. One story can become a chapter.

It plans the chapters
Stories go in the order they happened. Rename, move or cut chapters before a word is written.

You correct every detail
Names, dates and places come from you. Read each scene and change what didn't happen that way.
Sample
Five stories in. A 42,415-word memoir out.
A retired school nurse told five stories to her granddaughter, who typed them up: 545 words in all. We added a letter she wrote, for Voice DNA, and Wren Pro wrote 7 chapters in 98 seconds. Here is one story and a passage it became. It also retold the same line in nearly every section of that chapter, so expect to cut repeats.
There was a man in room 4, a retired railroad man named Mr. Pruitt, who couldn't sleep. He asked me to sit with him for five minutes. I said I had too much to do. He said, young lady, the medicine is in the cart but the nursing is in the chair. I sat down.I told him I had too much to do. I said it because I was young and because I thought busy meant useful. I thought moving fast was the same as helping. It was not. He looked at me and said, young lady, the medicine is in the cart but the nursing is in the chair.Ten questions to get your memories out
Answer one a day into your phone. Ten answers is enough for a first draft; more answers make a fuller book.
- 1Where did you grow up, and what did it sound like at night?
- 2Who taught you to work?
- 3What did your family argue about?
- 4Tell the day everything changed.
- 5Which job do you remember most clearly, and why?
- 6Who did you lose, and what do you still hear them say?
- 7What mistake would you tell your grandchildren about?
- 8Which small object holds a big story?
- 9What were you proud of and never said?
- 10What do you want the people who read this to know?
What it will and won't make up
It keeps your facts
In our sample, every name, date and number came from her stories. It added none.
It adds texture
It described a hospital chair whose vinyl stuck to her legs and the light over the sink. She never mentioned either.
You decide what stays
Read every scene. Cut what didn't happen, and add the details only you remember.

Questions people ask
Can AI write my memoir?
It can write the draft from the stories you give it, in your voice, chapter by chapter. It cannot know your life. Everything true in the book comes from what you tell it, so the more stories you give it, the more of the book is yours.
Will it make things up?
It can add detail. In our sample it kept every name, date and number from her stories and added none, but it described a hospital chair and a light over a sink she never mentioned. Read every scene and cut what didn't happen.
Can I write about my mother or father?
Yes. Give it the stories you know and the ones they told you. It can only use what you give it, so a biography of a parent is as full as your memories and theirs.
Do I need to be a writer?
No. Tell the stories the way you would at the kitchen table. Our sample started from stories spoken out loud and typed up by a granddaughter.
Can I add photos?
Yes. You can place images inside chapters in the editor, and they appear in the print PDF.
Can I print copies for my family?
Yes. Upload the print PDF and cover to Amazon KDP. Before you publish, you can order proof copies at the printing cost plus shipping; they carry a small proof mark. Once the book is published you can order author copies the same way, and you never have to sell it to anyone.
Who can see my stories?
Your book stays private in your account. Nothing is published or shared unless you download the files and publish them yourself.
What does it cost?
The free plan writes a memoir you can read and edit in full. To download the print files, Entrepreneur is $49/month or $297/year.
